Pedestrian Struck By Train, Killed In Arlington Heights: Report

Motorists were being advised to avoid the railroad crossing at Ridge Avenue and Northwest Highway following the Wednesday morning incident.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — A pedestrian was struck by a Metra train Wednesday morning, halting traffic in both directions, according to police. Train No. 603 hit the pedestrian, according to Metra.

Chicago Tribune is reporting the woman died following the 6:15 a.m. incident.

There were extensive delays for Metra train services for several hours after.
