Portable Toilet, Tennis Courts Damaged By Fireworks At Park: Arlington Heights PD Blotter

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information comes from the Arlington Heights Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. RESISTING A PEACE OFFICER

Gustavo Espinoza Romero, 53, of the 2300 block of S. Goebbert Road, Arlington Heights, is accused of resisting a peace officer, domestic battery, and was arrested at 7:39 p.m. July 8, in the 2300 block of S. Goebbert Road, Arlington Heights. A court date of July 30 was assigned.

Timothy M. Fisher, 39, of the 12200 block of Irving Avenue, Blue Island is accused of violating an order of protection, and was arrested at 7:09 p.m. July 6, at the Arlington Heights Police Department. A court date of July 18 was assigned.

DRIVING ON A SUSPENDED LICENSE

Gabriel Gonzalez, 24, of the 1000 block of Kenilworth Drive, Wheeling, is accused of driving on a suspended license, operating a vehicle with a suspended license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 4:27 p.m. July 3, in the 300 block of E. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. He was released and assigned a court date of July 30.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

  • Stacey L. Graham, 44, of the 3800 block of Rugen Road, Glenview, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, and was arrested at 2:33 a.m. July 4, at Palatine Road and Kennicott Avenue. She was released and assigned a court date of July 22.
  • Thomas S. Klein, 61, of Oak Creek, Wisconsin, is accused of aggravated DUI (violation for the third or subsequent time), DUI alcohol, illegal transportation of alcoholic liquor by a driver, and was arrested at 7:58 p.m. July 4, in the 300 block of E. Rand Road. He was released and assigned a court date of Aug. 21.

INCIDENTS

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO VEHICLE

  • A citizen reported that between June 28 and July 1, someone had damaged the front driver's side door handle on his white Kia while it was parked in the 600 block of W. Rand Road.
  • A resident in the 600 block of N. Forrest Avenue reported that between July 4 and July 5, someone had keyed his black Volvo while it was parked in the driveway.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT

  • A resident in the 1700 block of Chesterfield Drive reported at 11:45 p.m. July 1, someone had stolen his 2022 black Dodge from his driveway.
  • A citizen reported that between July 5 and July 6, someone had stolen his blue Dodge Hellcat, which was parked on St. James Street.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

  • A resident in the 100 block of E. Lillian called police at 3 a.m. July 3, to report hearing two loud bangs and finding someone had damaged her front door.
  • An employee at Raven Park, 2913 N. Mitchell Ave., reported that between July 4 and July 6, someone had destroyed the portable toilet, and damaged the tennis courts by what appeared to be lit fireworks.
