District 214 School Collects Donations for Sandy Hook
Prospect High School collects donations to help the families affected by the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut.
In the aftermath of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, students at Prospect High School are raising money to support those affected by the tragedy.
In the face of tragedy, the Knights have turned emotions into action. At 801 West Kensington Road, Prospect High School has started collecting money for the Sandy Hook School Support Fund, established by the United Way’s Western Connecticut chapter.

Buckets are located around for school, collection sites for students and staff to drop off donations throughout the day.
The money will go to the Sandy Hook School Support Fund to provide support services to the families that have been affected by the shooting.

All students and staff are encouraged to donate, but the Prospect High School is also reaching out to the greater community, to join in this effort. Located at 801 West Kensington Road, the school will accept cash or checks made out to the "Sandy Hook School Support Fund." The collection will run through Friday, Dec. 21.
