Raja Endorsed by Citizen Action/Illinois, State's Largest Public Interest Group

Raja Krishnamoorthi announced the endorsement of Citizen Action/Illinois, the state's largest public interest organization.

Today, U.S. House Democratic candidate Raja Krishnamoorthi announced the endorsement of Citizen Action/Illinois, the state’s largest public interest organization.

“I am honored to receive the endorsement from Citizen Action/Illinois, the largest public interest organization in Illinois that is devoted to supporting progressive causes and candidates such as myself,” Krishnamoorthi said. “It is clear that my message of helping working families reach and hold on to economic security is resonating with voters, and support from groups like Citizen Action/Illinois puts my campaign in a position to win.”

The endorsement follows key recent labor union support of Raja from the Amalgamated Transit Union, the United Steelworkers, the Ironworkers, Machinists, and Airline Pilots unions, along with the endorsement by the National Committee to Protect Social Security and Medicare. In addition to these groups backing Raja for Congress, Krishnamoorthi received the endorsement last week from Senator Dick Durbin of Illinois, as well as recent support from House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi and House Democratic Whip Steny Hoyer.
