Resident, 22, Killed In Car Crash In Rolling Meadows

The accident, involving an SUV and a tree, happened around 6:30 a.m. Sunday.

ROLLING MEADOWS, IL — A 22-year-old resident was killed Sunday morning when his SUV crashed into a tree in the 2300 block of St. James Street in Rolling Meadows. Christian J. Flood, of Rolling Meadows, was pronounced dead at 7:17 a.m., about 45 minutes after the crash, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

A second crash victim was initially not located, according to Cardinal News. The passenger in the Jeep Commander was located at the scene, and he was ambulatory. He was transported to Northwest Community Hospital by Arlington Heights fire and paramedics. St. James Street closed much of the day on Sunday, according to Cardinal News.
