Resident Resists Police Following Arrest For Retail Theft In Arlington Heights
The Arlington Heights man was also charged with criminal trespass to property, according to police.

Vann C. Osei, 37, of the 1500 block of W. Vine Street, Arlington Heights, is accused of retail theft, resisting a peace officer, criminal trespass to property, and was arrested at 8:40 p.m. April 15, in the 0-10 block of N. Wilke Road, Arlington Heights. He was released and assigned a court date of May 21.

Jorge Francisco Prado-Marron, 27, of the 1700 block of W. Victoria Drive, Mount Prospect, is accused of motor vehicle theft, and was arrested at 1:29 a.m. April 17, in the 900 block of E. Kensington Road, Mount Prospect. He was released and assigned a court date of April 21.

INCIDENTS
ARSON
A resident in the 1700 block of E. Rosehill Drive reported that between April 5 and April 9, someone had lit a six-piece cardboard cupholder on fire, which was located on her deck.
THEFT
- A citizen reported that between December 2024 and April 9, they had parked their semi-truck in the 2600 block of S. Clearbrook Drive and returned to find someone had stolen one battery from the external battery compartment.
- A citizen reported that between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. April 7, someone had entered her blue Toyota, parked at Ivy Hill School, 2211 N. Burke Drive, and stole jewelry.
- A citizen reported that at 5 p.m. April 13, someone had stolen her wallet and subsequently used her credit card to make unauthorized purchases at Ross Dress for Less, 370 W. Rand Road.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO VEHICLE
A citizen reported that between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. April 12, someone had scratched the hood on his blue Honda while it had been parked in the 1200 block of W. Haven Street.
