Snow, Cold Temps Monday Before Big Warmup For Chicago Area

Monday's high is 28 degrees, and wind chills will even be just below zero on Monday night into Tuesday.

Although it's mid-March, this week's weather will start off wintry before temperatures moderate by the end of the week.

Hazardous winter driving conditions are expected across the Chicago area on Monday morning, with steady snow tapering off by 10 a.m., according to the National Weather Service.

Monday's high is 28 degrees, and wind chills will even be just below zero on Monday night into Tuesday. Tuesday's high is also cold, with a high of 26.

"There is a chance for another quick shot of snow Tuesday night before a gradual warming trend sets up," the weather service said on its Facebook.

Temperatures will return to the 40s, 50s and even 60s through mid-week and the end of the week. The high for Wednesday is 47, 59 degrees for Thursday and 67 degrees for Friday, according to the current forecast.
