Schaumburg Woman Charged With Attempted Murder In Chicago Shooting: Police

Alexis Dumas faces multiple felony charges following the Friday night incident in Chicago's West Austin neighborhood.

CHICAGO — A 43-year-old Schaumburg woman faces multiple felony charges following a shooting incident Friday night in Chicago's West Austin neighborhood. Alexis Dumas, of the 1200 block of Cambia Drive, was taken into custody by Chicago police two hours after the incident.

According to police, Dumas shot and injured a 39-year-old woman inside a car at around 8:30 p.m. in the 800 block of North Latrobe Avenue. She was later arrested at 10:34 p.m. in the 5300 block of West Chicago Avenue.
