Sports Bar Shooting Update: Man Charged With 2 Felonies
Daniel Gerger, of Forest Park, is accused of shooting two men Monday night during an altercation at a sports bar in Rolling Meadows.

ROLLING MEADOWS, IL — A Forest Park man is being charged with two felony counts of aggravated battery with a firearm following an altercation Monday night at a sports bar that left one person in critical condition. Daniel Gerger, 33, of Forest Park, is accused of firing a gun that struck a 38-year-old Des Plaines resident in the abdomen and a 26-year-old Elgin man in the leg.
The Des Plaines man remains in critical condition and is being treated at Lutheran General Hospital. The Elgin man was treated and released from the hospital.

Gerger, who sustained an injury to his hand, remains in custody and was due in bond court Thursday morning, according to police.
The incident happened at around 11:40 p.m. Monday night at Stadium Sports Club, 4000 block of Algonquin Road.

Police responded to the location following reports of shots being fired in the bar area. Upon arrival, police were able to locate three men who had received apparent gunshot wounds. The shooting stemmed from a physical altercation between patrons.
This incident is still under investigation.
