The 'How to' on Cakes from Cookie Cards
Cookie Cards in downtown Palatine offers more than just unique and delicious cookies; the "Cake Mademoiselle" is offering instruction on how to decorate that perfect cake!
Cookie Cards has been baking up delicious and unique cookies and cupcakes since 2010, and in November of 2012, the Cake Mademoiselle joined the business to provide an even wider offering of sweet treats for customers.
The business has begun to help educate customers - or for those who have the inclination - on how to decorate or bake creative goodies on their own.
"We are more than happy to sell you a cake, but if you want to do it on your own at home, we've created some YouTube videos that can help you out," said Kerri Callahan, who co-owns the business with her mother, Marti.

Now also offered are classes at Cookie Cards, for those who would like more structured guidance on how to be the best baker you can be.
Callahan said customer feedback was one of the reasons the instructional videos and classes are now being offered.

"We constantly hear comments from our customes on how they love to bake, this is giving them an additional resource," Callahan said.
