Thursday 01-09-14 Mug Shot Challenge Day #1:
Coffee, java, joe, ink and anything else we can name our favorite beverage. That's not right; it's more than just a drink to us. It's a way of life. c[__]
This mug has a story. The result of a random act of kindness.
Our youngest, my clone, is named Garrett. He went to Garrett's popcorn on Chicago's famed Michigan Ave when he was 4 or 5; literally walked in the door and said "Hi, I'm Garrett. Where's my popcorn?..."
They denied him completely "Sorry, no free samples".
So a couple years later while waiting for a departure flight at O'Hare, I was in line at Garrett's Popcorn, picking up a tin for family out of state. The manager overhears him recollecting the Michigan Ave story to me, hands him this mug, a huge tin of popcorn, and a giant smile and well-wishes.
He didn't stop smiling all day because of that one random act of kindness.
