Time to File Village Government Petitions

New law moves last day for petition filing for 2013 consolidated election to December 26.

Candidates for Arlington Heights Village Trustee, Village President or Library Trustee must file their petitions with the Village Clerk between Monday, Dec. 17 and Wednesday, Dec. 26.

Petitions must be dropped off between those dates at .  The hours to file are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Village Hall doors will be open by 7:45 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 17; The Village Clerk’s office opens at 8:00 a.m.

Village Hall is closed Saturday, Dec. 22 through Tuesday, Dec. 25; therefore petitions will not be accepted on those days. The objection period is Dec. 27 through Jan. 3, 2013.

Mayor Arlene Mulder will be retiring at the end of the term. The following people have expressed interest in becoming the next mayor of Arlington Heights:

  • Ron Drake
  • Mark Hellner
