- Arturo Aguilar Bahena, 29, is accused of aggravated driving under the influence (third offense), driving on a revoked license (third offense), driving under the influence of alcohol, transporting alcohol by the driver, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 2:35 a.m. Jan. 8, in the 300 block of E. Rand Road. Bond was set at $20,000 and a court date of Feb. 21 was assigned.
- Christopher A. Johnston, 31, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested at 6:22 p.m. Jan. 12, in the 1800 block of N. Arlington Heights Road. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of Feb. 7 was assigned.
DOMESTIC BATTERY
- Abdul-Wahab O Babawale, 27, is accused of domestic battery, and was arrested at 9:02 p.m. Jan. 9, in the 4100 block of N. Bloomington Avenue. Bond was set at $10,000 and a court date of Jan. 31 was assigned.
- Jaden L. Giraldo, 18, is accused of domestic battery, and was arrested at 10:55 p.m. Jan. 8, in the 1300 block of S. Highland Avenue. Bond was set at $10,000 and a court date of Jan. 30 was assigned.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

Artur T. Bernolak, 45, is accused of criminal damage to property, and was arrested at 5:13 p.m. Jan. 12, at McDonald's, 45 E. Golf Road. Bond was set at $100 and a court date of Feb. 7 was assigned.
POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE
Rommel C. Catayong, 51, is accused of possession of a controlled substance, and was arrested at 10:16 p.m. Jan. 7, in the 1300 block of N. Arlington Heights Road. Bond was set at $10,000 and a court date of Feb. 14 was assigned.
VIOLATION OF BAIL BOND
Welsey L. Cherry, 38, had a warrant for violation of bail bond, and was arrested at 8:19 a.m. Jan. 9, in the 300 block of E. Seegers. Bond was set at $3,000.
CRIMINAL SEXUAL ASSAULT
Raymond S. Grenke, 33, is accused of criminal sexual assault, and was arrested at 4:10 p.m. Jan. 12, in the 400 block of W. Wing Street.
VIOLATION OF AN ORDER OF PROTECTION
Andrew R. Preissing, 29, is accused of two counts of violation of order of protection, criminal damage to property, and was arrested at 4:12 p.m. Jan. 8, in the 100 block of N. Kennicott Avenue. In a separate incident, Preissing is accused of reckless driving, fleeing a peace officer, and was arrested at 6:26 p.m. Jan. 11, at W. Campbell and N. Vail Avenue. Bond was set at $10,000 and a court date of Jan. 17 was assigned.

INCIDENTS
BURGLARY
- A resident in the 1000 block of E. Rockwell Street reported that between Dec. 18 and Dec. 26, someone entered his house via a window on the north side of the house and stole personal property.
- An employee at Golf Liquors, 618 Golf Road, called police at 6:15 a.m. Dec. 29, to report six unknown subjects arrived in a black SUV and a gray sedan. The were all wearing dark clothes. The front window was shattered and the subjects made entry. Stolen were high-end liquor and lottery tickets. The total amount of stolen items was unknown.
RETAIL THEFT
- Employees at Walgreens, 235 E. Palatine Road, called police at 12:50 p.m. Dec. 28, to report three subjects stole 14 boxes of Nicorette gum each valued between $35-$75. Subject one is described as a black female, 5-foot-9, 180 pounds, wearing green leggings, a black puffy coat, and a blue surgical mask. Subject two is described as 5-foot-9, a female, heavy set, long black hair, wearing a black puffy coat, and a blue surgical mask. The third subject is described as a black female, 5-foot-9, heavy set, with shoulder-length black hair, wearing a black puffy coat and a blue surgical mask. They left in a red Pontiac Grand Prix.
- An employee at Party City, 111 W. Rand Road, reported at 1 p.m. Dec. 31, someone exited the store with a cart full of merchandise without paying. The subject is described as a female with purple highlights in her hair, wearing gray sweatpants and a gray long sleeve shirt. The female was accompanied by a juvenile. The female left in a black SUV with White Sox specialty license plates.
THEFT
An employee at Amazon, 1455 W. Cellular Drive, reported at 12:30 p.m. Dec. 19, someone stole a box containing 33 spare key fobs. The value of the keys was between $7,500-$10,000. The subject is described as a male, wearing a black jacket and brown sweatpants. He arrived and left in a dark-colored SUV.
BURGLARY TO MOTOR VEHICLE
A person reported that between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. Dec. 30, someone entered their unlocked black Honda and stole a Bluetooth speaker valued at $100 in the 0-100 block of E. Brookwood Drive.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS TO VEHICLE
A citizen reported that between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. Dec. 30, someone entered his white Toyota and white Kia, rummaged through the vehicles in the 0-100 block of E. Brookwood Drive. Nothing was reported stolen at this time.
STOLEN MOTOR VEHICLE
A citizen called police at 3:20 a.m. Dec. 30, to report someone stole his maroon Jeep in the 100 block of W. Appletree Lane. The vehicle was left unlocked with the key fob inside.
