Uninsured Motorist Found With Drugs In Car: Arlington Heights PD Blotter

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information comes from the Arlington Heights Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. ARRESTS

POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

Kristin A. Fritz, 38, of the 1300 block of S. New Wilke Road, Arlington Heights, is accused of possession of a controlled substance, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 4:03 p.m. March 2, in the 1400 block of S. New Wilke Road, Arlington Heights. She was released and assigned a court date of March 6.

DRIVING ON A SUSPENDED/REVOKED LICENSE

• Mark A. Heffernan, 48, of the 1100 block of W. Saint James Street, Arlington Heights, is accused of driving on a suspended license, illegal transportation of alcohol by driver, and was arrested at 1:28 p.m. March 4, at Dwyer Avenue and Wing Street, Arlington Heights. He was released and assigned a court date of March 19.
• Gobena S. Workneh, 37, of the 2100 block of S. Tonne Drive, Arlington Heights, is accused of driving on a suspended license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 4:01 p.m. March 5, in Arlington Heights. He was released and assigned a court date of April 22.

BATTERY

John H. Lortz, 69, of the 1700 block of Vermont Court, Rolling Meadows, is accused of battery, and was arrested at 12:57 p.m. March 2, at the Arlington Heights Police Department. He was released and assigned a court date of March 31.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

Michael L. Mazzocchi, 25, of the 200 block of Millford Lane, Bloomingdale, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, illegal transportation of alcohol by driver, and was arrested at 3:19 a.m. Feb. 28, in the 1900 block of N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights. He was released and assigned a court date of March 31.

VIOLATION OF BAIL BOND

Jonathan D. Townsend, 27, of the 2400 block of N. Kennicott Drive, Arlington Heights, had a warrant for violation of bail bond, and was arrested at 12:56 a.m. Feb. 28, in the 700 block of W. Dundee Road.
