PALATINE, IL — A Wheeling man has been charged with four felonies, including kidnapping, following an incident last week with someone he was dating in Palatine. Boris Zhuravlev, 39, of the 1400 block of Sandpebble Drive, is accused of felony counts of kidnapping, aggravated domestic battery, unlawful restraint, aggravated domestic battery with prior convictions.

According to police, the charges stem from a domestic violence incident that occurred on the morning of Dec. 8 in the 1200 Block of Prairie Brook Drive in Palatine. A subsequent police investigation also revealed Zhuravlev has a history of previous domestic violence incidents.
