ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information comes from the Arlington Heights Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

Every person arrested is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

  • Ana K. Borruel-Reyes, 23, of the 1000 block of N Sterling Avenue, Palatine, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested at 4:20 a.m. Dec. 23, 2020, at Euclid and Carlyle. She was released on bond and assigned a court date of Jan. 20.
  • Michelle K. Oost, 34, of the 1500 block of E Central Road, Arlington Heights, is accused of driving under the influence, and was arrested at 1:07 a.m. Dec. 27, 2020, at Central and Arthur. Seh was released on bond, and assigned a court date of Jan. 27.
  • Rodolfo Galeana, 22, of the 100 block of Indian Hill Drive, Bensenville, is accused of driving under the influence of drugs, unlawful use of medical cannabis by a driver, resisting a peace officer, and was arrested at 8:26 p.m. Dec. 30 at Golf and Arlington Heights roads. He was released on bond and assigned a court date of Feb. 6.

AGGRAVATED DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

Jaline D. Perez, 23, of the 1400 block of N 17th Avenue, Melrose Park, is accused of aggravated driving under the influence, no driver's license, driver's license revoked/suspended, wrong lane usage, and was arrested at 4:28 a.m. Dec. 26, 2020, at Arlington Heights and Seegers roads. Perez was taken to court and assigned a court date of Jan. 26.

NO DRIVER'S LICENSE/PERMIT

Anthony M. Grader, 31, of the 600 block of E Grant Highway, Marengo, is accused of no driver's license/permit, and was arrested at 12:33 a.m. Dec. 26, 2020, in the 1100 block of E Algonquin. He was released on bond and assigned a court date of Jan. 11.

DRIVING WITH A REVOKED/SUSPENDED LICENSE

Jose Angel Colon, 46, of the 11000 block of S Wentworth Avenue, Chicago, is accused of driving with a revoked/suspended license more than twice, driving under the influence of alcohol, driving on a suspended/revoked license, operating an uninsured vehicle, illegal transportation/possession of liquor by a driver, resisting a peace officer, and was arrested at 11:17 p.m Dec. 27, 2020, in the 0-100 block of S Arlington Heights Road. He was taken to court and assigned a court date of Jan. 22.

POSSESSION OF A STOLEN VEHICLE

Deeann M. Davisin 50, of the 3100 block of 12th Avenue, Rockford, is accused of aid/abet/possession/selling a stolen vehicle, and was arrested at 9:02 p.m. Dec. 28, 2020, in the 0-100 block of W Algonquin Road. She was taken to court and assigned a court date of Jan. 15.

BURGLARY

Jeremiah F. Zajler, 20, of the 300 block of W Golf Road, Arlington Heights, is accused of burglary, theft, and was arrested at 8:14 p.m. Dec. 30, 2020, in the 300 block of W Golf Road. He was taken to court.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

John A. Sinard, 22, of the 1500 block of W Brown Street, Arlington Heights, is accused of criminal damage to property less than $300, fleeing police, resisting a peace officer, and was arrested at 3:10 a.m. Dec. 30, 2020, in the 1500 block of W Brown Street. He was released on bond and assigned a court date of Dec. 8.

INCIDENTS

THEFT

  • A resident in the 1800 block of N Patton Avenue reported that between Dec. 22-Dec. 30, 2020, someone entered their garage through unknown means. There were no signs of forced entry into the garage. Prior to the burglary, the resident had posted publicly on Facebook about receiving new tools as a gift and about going out of town for the holidays. Taken from the garage was the new tools valued at approximately $160.
  • A person staying at the Red Roof Inn, 22 W Algonquin Road, called police at 5 a.m. Jan. 2 to report someone unlawfully entered their hotel room via a possible malfunctioning door lock on the hotel door. Taken from the victim’s hotel room was clothing and a jacket containing a wallet with various credit and identification cards. One credit card was later used fraudulently.
  • A resident in the 200 block of N Arlington Heights Road reported that between 10 a.m.-noon Jan. 2 someone took furniture belonging to the victim from the apartment complex loading dock while the victim was in the process of moving. The value of the stolen property is approximately $610.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

An employee at the Daily Herald 155 E Algonquin Road reported at 10:25 p.m. Dec. 31, 2020, someone damaged a glass entry door to the vacant business by throwing a brick through the glass and causing it to shatter. It does not appear entry was made into the business. The cost to repair the door is unknown.

BURGLARY

A person called police to report that between Dec. 30, 2020 and Jan. 2, someone damaged the victim’s vehicle by using an unknown sharp object to puncture both the front and rear passenger side tires at La Joie Daycare, 110 W Boeger Drive. The cost to repair the damage is unknown.
