Pregnant Woman Battered In Public: Arlington Heights PD Blotter
A Palatine resident was charged with aggravated battery in a public place and aggravated assault, according to police.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information comes from the Arlington Heights Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Tamyra A. Cooper, 24, of Columbia, South Carolina, had a warrant for a probation violation, and was arrested at 8:50 p.m. Aug. 7, in the 20 block of W. Algonquin Road, Arlington Heights. A future court date in Cook County was to be determined at the time of the report.

- Timothy V. Fish, 38, of the 800 block of E. Thomas, Arlington Heights, is accused of aggravated driving under the influence, possession of a controlled substance, driving on a suspended license, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of intoxicating compounds, driving under the influence of drugs, driving on a revoked license, illegal transportation of liquor by a driver, and was arrested at 2:39 a.m. Aug. 3, in the 0-10 block of W. Algonquin Road, Arlington Heights. He was released and assigned a court date of Sept. 29.
- Saad H. Maki, 29, of the 100 block of W. Appletree Lane, Arlington Heights, is accused of DUI alcohol, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 12:45 a.m. Aug. 2, in the 300 block of E. Rand Road. He was released and assigned a court date of Aug. 22.
- Georgi Panev, 45, of the 700 block of Bode Circle, Hoffman Estates, is accused of aggravated DUI, DUI alcohol, and was arrested at 8:45 p.m. Aug. 5, in the 2400 block of E. Olive, Arlington Heights. He was released and assigned a court date of Aug. 8.
AGGRAVATED BATTERY
Kariss M. King, 35, of the 1100 block of E. Northwest Highway, Palatine is accused of aggravated battery of a pregnant person, aggravated battery in a public place, aggravated assault, and was arrested at 6:49 p.m. Aug. 1, in the 3700 block of N. Wilke Road, Arlington Heights. A court date of Sept. 19 was assigned.

INCIDENTS
MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT
- A citizen reported that during the overnight hours of July 29, someone had stolen his silver Hyundai from a parking lot in the 300 block of N. Salem Avenue.
- A resident of the 900 block of E. Olive Street reported that between 4:15 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. July 30, someone had stolen his black Hyundai from the driveway.
- A citizen called police to report that during the overnight hours of July 30, someone had stolen his blue Hyundai from a parking lot in the 200 block of N. Kaspar Avenue.
THEFT
A resident in the 400 block of S. Cleveland Avenue called police to report that between July 29 and July 31, someone had stolen contents from a package located inside the vestibule.
BURGLARY TO MOTOR VEHICLE
A resident in the 3400 block of W. Payton Place reported that between Aug. 2 and Aug. 3, someone had entered his blue Mazda and stole his wallet.
