VIOLATION OF BAIL BOND

Alejandro Ambriz-Santos, 38, who had a warrant for violation of a bail bond, was arrested at 9:04 p.m. Feb. 20, at W. Central and W. Algonquin roads. Bond was set at $5,000 and a court date of March 11 was assigned.
DOMESTIC BATTERY

Omari Andrews, 22, is accused of domestic battery, and was arrested at 3:30 p.m. Feb. 22, in Arlington Heights. There was no bond and a court date of Feb. 23 was assigned.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE
- Kevin D. Blackberg, 70, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, and was arrested at 9:55 p.m. Feb. 24, at Kennicott Road and Thomas Street. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of March 18 was assigned.
- Daniel M. Chmiemewski, 28, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, and was arrested at 1:51 a.m. Feb. 25, at N. Kennicott Drive and W. Palatine Road. Bond was set at $1,000 and a court date of March 11 was assigned.
- Daniel Greenberg, 23, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, speeding 26-34 mph over the speed limit, and was arrested at 2:20 p.m. Feb. 24, at Palatine and Schoenbeck roads. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of March 18 was assigned.
- Scott A. Olson, 30, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested at 6:01 a.m. Feb. 20, in the 1100 bloc of Hawthorne Street. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of March 30 was assigned.
- Anupam R. Patel, 49, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, and was arrested at 11:49 p.m. Feb. 18, at Palatine and Rand roads. Bond was set at $1,000 and a court date of March 18 was assigned.
- Ericka J. Rodriguez, 28, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, and was arrested at 4:15 a.m. Feb. 20, at Arlington Heights and Palatine roads. Bond was set at $1,000 and a court date of March 11 was assigned.
- Edwin Segundo, 23, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, and was arrested at 4:20 a.m. Feb. 20, at Palatine and Schoenbeck roads. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of March 30 was assigned.
CONTEMPT OF COURT
Benjamin E. Cruz, 33, had a warrant for contempt of court, and was arrested at 7:27 p.m. Feb. 21, in the 800 block of E. Northwest Highway.
NO VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE
Alexander M. Esparza, 34, is accused of operating a motor vehicle with no valid driver's license, and was arrested at 7:45 p.m. Feb. 21, in the 800 block of E. Northwest Highway. Bond was set at $2,500 and a court date of March 17 was assigned.
POSSESSION OF CANNABIS
Omar S. Hejaz, 25, is accused of possession of cannabis over 100 grams, a felony, and was arrested at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 22, in the 2400 block of S. Arlington Heights Road. Bond was set at $10,000 and a court date of March 16 was assigned.
SPEEDING
Jose G. Hernandez-Hernandez, 31, is accused of speeding 26-34 mph over the speed limit, and was arrested at 1:10 a.m. Feb. 20, at Palatine and Schoenbeck roads. Bond was set at $2,000 and a court date of April 12 was assigned.
CRIMINAL SEXUAL ASSAULT
Kelcy L. McGruder, 48, is accused of criminal sexual assault, aggravated domestic battery/strangle, and was arrested at 11:45 a.m. Feb. 20, in Arlington Heights. Bond was set at $50,000 and a court date of Feb. 24 was assigned.

INCIDENTS
CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
- A resident in the 1000 block of E. Palatine Road reported on Feb. 15 that during the overnight hours, the pressure gauge to the garage door was smashed. The cost to replace the pressure gauge is estimated at $50.
- A resident of a building in the 200 block of W. Miner Street called police on Feb. 15 to report that between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m., someone put graffiti in the hallway and stairwells, along with an unknown substance poured on the stairs. The cost to remove the spray paint and unknown substance was unknown at the time of the report.
THEFT BY DECEPTION
A Patridge Lane resident reported at 12:30 p.m. Feb. 16, they received a phone call from a person claiming to be with the ComEd billing department. The person told the resident she owed $800, which she subsequently sent electronically. The resident became suspicious and called ComEd, who advised it was a scam.
THEFT
- A resident of the 0-100 block of S. Vail called police at 4:45 p.m. Feb. 10, to report she had an Apple iPhone 13 pro Max delivered to the building front desk. When the resident opened the package, there was no cell phone inside. The value of the cell phone is approximately $1,199.99.
- A person in the 0-100 block of W. Golf Road reported on Feb. 17 that between 3:23 a.m. and 10 p.m., he had parked his Bobcat and snow plow bucket in the parking lot in preparation to plow and salt the lot. Upon returning, the victim noticed the snow plow bucket was missing. The snow plow bucket is valued at $3,000.
- A customer of a gym in the 300 block of E. Palatine Road called police to report that between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. Feb. 24, credit cards were stolen from his wallet, which were in a locker, while working out.
FORGERY
An employee of a pharmacy in the 1700 block of W. Campbell Street reported at 11 p.m. Feb. 16, someone attempted to obtain two prescriptions from the pharmacy using fake prescriptions.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE
- A resident in the 1200 block of S. Belmont reported at 10:30 p.m. Feb. 16, two men in a newer model white Ford pickup truck were seen exiting the vehicle and walking around cars in a driveway on two separate occasions. The vehicle was gone prior to police arrival.
- A resident i the 1200 block of S. Belmont Avenue called police at 3:02 p.m. Feb. 23, to report seeing a white van in the area looking in mailboxes. The area was checked and the vehicle was not located.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO VEHICLE
A resident in the 600 block of W. Rand Road reported at 12:45 p.m. Feb. 19, hearing a loud noise coming from his vehicle. After an inspection, it was determined there was damage to the vehicle’s catalytic converter. The damage consisted of cut marks around the catalytic converter. The cost to repair the damage is unknown.
BURGLARY
An employee of a business in the 1900 block of N. Arlington Heights Road called police at 3 a.m. Feb. 21, to report someone forced entry in to the business by way of smashing the front window, and took numerous cellular phones.
THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE PARTS
- A resident in the 600 block of S. Arthur Avenue reported that between Jan. 1 and Feb. 21, someone stole the catalytic converter off the victim’s 2003 Ford F250. The cost to replace the catalytic converter is unknown.
- A person in the 100 block of E. Algonquin Road called police to report that between Feb. 18 and Feb. 21, someone stole the catalytic converters off two transport vans. The cost to replace the catalytic converters is unknown. A green Toyota Prius was seen circling the area two days prior.
- A resident in the 1100 block of E. Algonquin Road reported that between Feb. 24 and Feb. 25, someone stole the catalytic converters off the victim’s Mitsubishi. The cost to replace the catalytic converter is approximately $1,500.
RETAIL THEFT
- A manager of a store in the 900 block of W. Algonquin Road reported at 4:37 p.m. Feb. 21, someone entered the store and stole $958.45 worth of products. The suspect left the parking lot in a black SUV.
- The manager of a business in the 0-100 block of W. Rand Road called police at 12:45 p.m. Feb. 19, to report a female in her 40s placed two bottles of tequila, valued at $219.99, in her purse and left the store without paying.
SUSPICIOUS PERSON
A resident in the 500 block of S. Dwyer Avenue called police at 5 p.m. Feb. 21, to report a group of teens shooting air soft guns in the area. The area was checked and the teens were not located.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY
A resident in the 1400 block of W. Brown Street reported they arrived home and discovered that between Feb. 19 and Feb. 23, multiple bedrooms had been rummaged through. An estimated $8,000-$10,000 worth of perfume and jewelry was stolen.
BURGLARY TO MOTOR VEHICLE
A person reported that between 4:40 p.m. and 5:40 p.m. Feb. 25, while their car was parked in a parking lot in the 300 block of E. Palatine Road, someone broke the passenger window and stole the victim’s purse. The offender then made two unauthorized purchases with the victim’s credit cards.
