ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information comes from the Arlington Heights Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

RETAIL THEFT

  • Erick Deivid Castro, 28, of the 1600 block of S. Homan Avenue, Chicago, is accused of retail theft, and was arrested at 12:41 p.m. Nov. 29, in the 2200 block of N. Seminary Avenue, Woodstock. A court date of Dec. 11 was assigned.
  • Krzysztof R. Kurek, 52, of the 1100 block of N. Sterling Avenue, Palatine, is accused of retail theft, and was arrested at 8:23 p.m. Dec. 4, in the 200 block of E. Sigwalt Street, Arlington Heights. He was released and assigned a court date of Jan. 27, 2025.

VIOLATION OF BAIL BOND

Taja D. McKinney, 25, homeless, had a warrant for violation of bail bond, and was arrested at 10:36 p.m. Dec. 4, in the 1500 block of W. Dempster Street.

BATTERY

Konstantinos D. Staveris, 49, of the 1300 block of Chestnut Avenue, Arlington Heights, is accused of battery, and was arrested at 5:34 p.m. Dec. 5, in the 1300 block of Chestnut Avenue. He was released and assigned a court date of Jan. 27, 2025.

DRIVING ON A REVOKED/SUSPENDED LICENSE

Nila Vortkinoyan, 78, of the 400 block of Inland Drive, Wheeling, is accused of driving on a revoked license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 7:02 pm. Dec. 5, in the 300 block of Industrial Drive, Wheeling. She was released and assigned a court date of Feb. 3, 2025.

INCIDENTS

THEFT

A resident of the 900 block of E. Shady Way reported that between 2 a.m. and noon Nov. 26, their red Huffy bicycle and a blue Huffy bicycle were stolen from the patio.

BURGLARY

  • An employee at Red Rooster, 1628 W. Northwest Highway, reported at 1:35 a.m. Nov. 27, four people had forced entry in to the business and stole an unknown number of alcohol bottles. The group arrived and left in a black Hyundai and a black Infiniti.
  • A resident in the 500 block of Happfield Drive called police to report that during the overnight hours of Nov. 30, someone had forced entry in to a shed and stole approximately $2,000 worth of tools.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO A VEHICLE

A resident in the 900 block of E. Golf Road reported at 11:50 p.m. Nov. 29, that he saw two people inside his silver Lexus. It was later determined the duo broke the sunroof to gain entry.

RETAIL THEFT

  • An employee at Dick's Sporting Goods, 401 E. Palatine Road, reported at 8:25 p.m. Nov. 30, a male had stolen an unknown number of Women's Nike Phoenix Fleeces. The person was described as a Hispanic male.
  • An employee at Ulta, 13 W. Rand Road, reported at 3:20 p.m. Dec. 1, two females stole approximately $1,000 worth of products. The two, who left in a white Chevrolet Impala, are described as: Black, approximately 30 years old, with long hair, wearing a white hat, white jacket and blue jeans; Black, approximately 30 years old, wearing a green bandana, black jacket and blue jeans
