Youth advocate, Ray Walker, 89, of Arlington Heights has passed away, the Daily Herald reports.

Well-known youth advocate, Ray Walker, 89, of Arlington Heights has passed away, the Daily Herald reports.
According to the newspaper, Walker served on boards with United Way of Arlington Heights, Arlington Heights Elementary District 25 and the Central Business District of Arlington Heights.
The Arlington Heights man behind the Ray Walker Head Start program, which serves children from low-income families in Schaumburg, died Oct. 19 at the age of 89. The Daily Herald reports, a memorial service for Walker will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church of Arlington Heights, located at 302 N. Dunton Avenue.
