AURORA, IL — Aurora police say a 19-year-old man was killed after a pile of large wood panels fell on him at a rail yard in the 600 block of McClure Road Thursday morning. Police say firefighters and paramedics arrived to find the teen pinned under the wood panels.

Emergency responders used rescue equipment to remove the panels that were trapping the teen, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Aurora Police Department Spokesperson Paris Lewbel said BNSF is taking over the investigation as the fatal accident took place "involved a railcar on rails owned by BNSF." The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) also sent representatives to the scene.
