1 Person Shot Multiple Times, Taken To Hospital: Aurora Police
The shooting happened in the 1000 block of Dearborn Avenue around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. Police said the man shot is expected to survive.
AURORA, IL — A person was shot in the 1000 block of Dearborn Avenue in Aurora Wednesday evening, police said.
Police officers received a 911 call around 6:30 p.m. with a report of a car crash and shooting. At the scene on Dearborn Avenue, police found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, officials said.
Paramedics from the Aurora Fire Department brought the man to a local hospital, and police said he is expected to survive.

Several blocks in the area around Front Street and Trask Street were closed while police investigated the incident.
Detectives from the Aurora Police Department’s Bureau of Investigations responded to the scene to investigate the shooting, and evidence technicians collected forensic evidence. Officers and detectives canvassed the neighborhood as part of the investigation, which remains open and active, police said.

Police did not say if the shooting was targeted.
