AURORA, IL — We are proud to recognize our Top 10 Great Reading Tournament winners from across the District, whose dedication and love of reading truly set them apart.

This fall, an incredible 7,170 students from 14 elementary and middle schools participated in The Great Reading Tournament Fall Edition, coming together for three weeks of focused reading and friendly competition. Collectively, our students read an astounding 128,443 minutes, that’s more than 2,141 hours and a completion 2,367 books. Even more impressive, six of our Top Ten students also ranked among the Top 100 participants nationwide.

Our top reader was Masa, of Waldo Middle School, reading an impressive 6,718 minutes from 15 books. She has also won a family 4-pack of tickets to an upcoming Kane County Cougars game.

Our top 10 rounded out with Bryanna C., Manika D., Alena R, Claudia E., Juan T., Angelina R., Alexander M., Olivia W. and Francisco G.
