2 Commanders Appointed At Aurora Police Department
Liz Robinson-Chan and Dan Eppard's appointments come after commanders Jack Fichtel and Rick Robertson retired, officials said.

AURORA, IL — Two commanders have been appointed by Chief Keith Cross to join Aurora Police Department's command staff, officials said Tuesday.
Liz Robinson-Chan will oversee the department's Bureau of Support Services, which includes 911 Telecommunications, Records, Administrative Services, Central Services and Jail Divisions, along with other support units.
Dan Eppard will oversee the Bureau of Neighborhood Policing, the police department's largest bureau, officials said in a news release. The bureau encompasses the Patrol Division, Community Oriented Policing Unit, K-9 Unit Crisis Intervention Unit and Traffic Division.

The new commanders will be officially recognized at an employee recognition ceremony in early June.
"Please join me in congratulating Commander Liz Robinson-Chan and Commander Dan Eppard for their appointments to the rank of Commander and their continued work to move our department forward," Cross said in a statement.

Previously overseeing the Bureau of Support Services, Commander Steve Stemmet will move on to oversee the Bureau of Investigative Services, which consists of the General Investigations Division, Domestic Violence Reduction Unit, Evidence Unit, School Resource Officer Unit and Special Operations Group.
The appointments come after commanders Jack Fichtel and Rick Robertson retired, officials said.
"I would like to thank Commander Jack Fichtel and Commander Rick Robertson for their service to the department and to our Aurora community," Cross said in a statement. "I would like to wish them well on their well-deserved retirement."
