2 Men Charged With Murder Related To Shooting On City's East Side: APD
Two men, of Aurora and Montgomery, were charged in relation to a shooting that killed one and left another critically injured in September.

AURORA, IL — Two men were arrested and charged with first-degree murder in connection to a September shooting that killed one and left another critically injured, Aurora police said Wednesday evening.
Officers responded to the 300 block of Center Avenue, on the city's east side, for a report of shots fired and found two people suffering from gunshot wounds. One man, 29-year-old Ferrer Vicente, who lived in the same block where the shooting happened, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The second victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment and was later released in stable condition. Police said the person is recovering from their injuries.

Officials investigated the shooting for three months and charged Samuel Garcia, of the 600 block of S. 4th St. in Aurora, and Alonzo Sanchez, of the 100 block of Saugatuck Road in Montgomery, with several felonies.

The 24-year-old men are both facing the following charges:
- Three counts of first-degree murder
- One count of attempted first-degree murder
- Four counts of aggravated battery with a firearm
Sanchez was taken into custody Jan. 6 while Garcia was served with the charges at the Kane County jail, where he was being detained on other charges, police said.
