3,000 Eggs Will Be Scattered At Upcoming Aurora Church Easter Egg Hunt
The plastic eggs that will be scattered on Aurora Advent Christian Church's grounds will be filled with candy and prize tickets.

AURORA, IL — At Aurora Advent Christian Church's upcoming Easter Egg Scramble, there will likely be more than enough eggs for all participants to collect. About 3,000 plastic eggs filled with candy and prize tickets will be scattered around the church's property April 16.
The seventh annual egg hunt will start at 10:30 a.m. on the church's lawn, 905 N. Edgelawn Drive in Aurora.
Ahead of the hunt itself, a volunteer will open the event by recounting the biblical Easter story in the church's fellowship hall. From there, Senior Pastor Matt Mull will countdown the hunt, which will have a scattered start. Younger children will go first, followed by older kids, and finally, an open group can go in to scoop up remaining eggs, according to a news release.

Children up to fifth grade are invited to attend the free event, which will be held rain or shine. Parking will also be free.
In order to collect as many eggs as possible, kids have to bring their own baskets, organizers said. The event will conclude in the fellowship hall, where kids can claim prizes and recycle empty eggs.

At the sixth annual event in 2021, participants were able to use the tickets they found in eggs to win a prize from more than 100 options donated by congregants. Prizes included toys, sports balls, bubble sets, kites, children's Bibles and gift cards to fast-food restaurants.
Ahead of Easter on Sunday, the church will host a joint Good Friday service with Redeemer Community Church starting at 6:30 p.m. An Easter service will begin at 11 a.m. Sunday and will be followed by refreshments and fellowship.
