3 Accused Of Looting Aurora Walmart Amid Protest
More than 20 people are now facing charges in connection with looting and violence during a protest at the end of May.

AURORA, IL — The Kane County Sheriff’s Office issued arrest warrants last week for three people accused of breaking into the Walmart store on Kirk Road and stealing electronics after a protest in downtown Aurora turned violent, according to a report by the Daily Herald.
Porchshay Walton, 28, of Aurora; Siara Walton, 30, of Aurora; and Diante Macon, 21, of DeKalb, are expected to be charged with felony burglary and retail theft of more than $500 when they are arrested, according to Kane County court records.

More than 20 people are now facing charges in connection with looting and violence during the May 31 riot in downtown Aurora. Hundreds of protesters demonstrated in support of police reform for several hours at the Aurora Police Department, the Chicago Premium Outlets and Aurora City Hall on May 31 before the night descended into violence.
Dozens of Aurora businesses sustained damage and had merchandise stolen, and three police cars were also set on fire throughout the night, police and city officials have said. The Family Dollar store on New York Street, which was destroyed by flames.

The Kane County Sheriff’s Office and Aurora Police Department said they are still investigating incidents that occurredduring the protest, including shots being fired at police vehicles, the report states.
