3-Month-Old Chihuahua Dies in House Fire
The family was able to get out of the house, but their cat was unable to be located.

AURORA, IL — A 3-month-old Chihuahua died in a house fire early Wednesday morning.
According to the Aurora Fire Department, a fire broke out at around 3:15 a.m. Wednesday in the 800 block of Columbia Ave.
A 48-year-old woman, a 14-year-old girl and a 19-year-old man were home at the time of the hire. The 14 year old smelled something burning and called 911. All were able to get out of the home safely, however the family lost its 3-month-old Chihuahua and the family’s cat was unable to be located.

The fire was brought under control by 20 firefighters at around 3:46 a.m.
The home is currently uninhabitable with damages estimated at $15,000 for its contents and $40,000 for the structure.
