8 Coronavirus Cases; 1 Death Confirmed In Aurora

Aurora confirmed five more cases Wednesday, making the citywide total eight.

AURORA, IL — As new coronavirus cases surge across the country, Aurora is also seeing a rise in its coronavirus cases. The city reported eight confirmed cases and one death as of Wednesday.

On Tuesday, Aurora confirmed three coronavirus cases. The five additional cases are:

  • A woman in her 50s
  • A woman in her 60s
  • A man in his 40s
  • A man in his 50s
  • A man in his 70s

A man in his 90s died of coronavirus, city officials confirmed.

In a statement, city officials warned that "COVID-19 is in Aurora. Your behavior should reflect that through your daily activities: staying at home, practicing social distancing, washing your hands regularly, contacting a doctor if you have concerns about symptoms."
