AID Hosts Benefit Auction
Auction Benefits Children and Adults with Developmental and Mental Health Challenges
The Association for Individual Development (AID) hosted the Annual Benefit Auction on Thursday, October 10th at the scenic Fishermen’s Inn (43W901 Main Street Rd., Elburn, IL 60119).
Hundreds of items and vacations were available for bidding during the live and silent auctions with all proceeds benefiting thousands of individuals with physical, developmental, intellectual and mental health challenges.
A touching video montage ended the live auction portion of the event and gave attendees a firsthand look at how community generosity is able to provide individuals who are non-verbal with access to communication applications on smart devices. Individuals are able to communicate their wants, needs and thoughts through this assistive technology.

AID has provided services to individuals with disabilities in the Fox Valley area for 58 years and is truly blessed to have made so many friends and partnered with so many supporters along the way. The demand for services far outweighs the current resources and AID must turn to community supporters to preserve and enhance many vital services.
