Alley Art Festival Brings 70 Artists To Water Street Mall

The free event will feature belly dancers, live music, food trucks, and much more.

AURORA, IL — The city of Aurora will kick off a weekend of creative art and performances with the Alley Art Festival, an exhibition featuring street performers, artists, and musicians along water street mall on Saturday, Augusts 25. More than 70 artists, musicians, and dancers are slated to appear at the event, which will take place rain or shine.

The free, all-ages event will bring hula hoopers, belly dancers, singers, painters, and multi-media artists together with community members for a day full of entertainment. This year's music lineup is as follows:

12 p.m.: The Aviators

In addition to dozens of professional artists showcasing their work, this year's Alley Art Festival also gives kids a chance to craft creative works of their own. Aspiring young artists will have access to paints, crafts, and other tools in a special tent designed to inspire kids to get creative.

When visitors aren't dancing along to the live music or admiring the artwork, they can fill up with eats from an assortment of food trucks that will bring local cuisine to the event.

Founded in 2010, Aurora's Alley Art Festival is sponsored by City of Aurora’s Neighborhood Festival Funding and Aurora Downtown.
