AURORA, IL — A husband-and-wife couple were identified as the two people killed in a crash Wednesday morning on Interstate 88 near Aurora, according to a report from ABC7 News.
Kamal and Naima Ashrafi, married since 2017, were pronounced dead at the scene, according to the report.
Two cars were involved in the crash at about 12:45 a.m. in the eastbound lanes near Eola Road. One of the vehicles was fully engulfed in flames, Patch reported.
The crash remains under investigation, Illinois State Police said.
