APD To Increase Patrols, Enforcement During Super Bowl Weekend
Fans don't let fans drive impaired, Aurora police said ahead of the Super Bowl.
AURORA, IL — Aurora police will increase patrols and enforcement during Super Bowl weekend, officials said Monday.
The "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign will run Feb. 6 through the early morning hours of Feb. 9.
"To ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable Super Bowl weekend, we're reminding our community to make responsible choices before celebrating," Police Chief Matt Thomas said in a statement. "Even a small amount of alcohol or cannabis can impair judgment and reaction time. Driving impaired puts lives at risk, and it’s a choice that can have lifelong consequences."
