Art And Market Returns To Society 57 For 3 Days

Organized by Aurora Downtown, the indoor market will feature local food and artisan vendors.

AURORA, IL — Art and Market is returning to Society 57 for three days in time for the holiday season.

Organized by nonprofit group Aurora Downtown, the market will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 19, Dec. 10 and Dec. 17 at the innovative coffee shop and event space, 100 S. River St.

Art and Market will feature artisan gifts, jewelry, candles, cookies, baked goods, body oils and more. Each day of the market will feature about two dozen vendors for a total curated selection of 60 local vendors, organizers said. A local nonprofit will also join the lineup each time.

Along with their full menu, Society 57 will also offer Modest Coffee and Katic Breads at Art and Market.

"We're excited to see the market grow," Marissa Amoni, manager of Aurora Downtown, said in a statement. "The market is now becoming a spring and fall staple, and it helps support local makers including some of our own downtown businesses."

During the event, Aurora Downtown will sell merchandise including postcards, t-shirts and hoodies at the welcoming table. At the first event, the organization will sell a limited number of Cocoa Crawl mugs and buttons.

After visiting Art and Market, patrons also have the opportunity to visit Aurora's Christkindlmarket, open until Dec. 24, and take a ride on a free trolley between noon and 3:30 p.m. Nov. 19 and Dec. 17.
