Aurora Arm Wrestler Hoping to Strong-Arm the Competition at Championship

The 37-year-old business owner will compete this weekend in Las Vegas.

An Aurora man was just a short, skinny 11-year-old kid in Lithuania when he developed an interest in arm wrestling. After seeing some kids do it, he wanted to do it, too.

And he creamed the competition.

Since then, Robertas Prozivalskis, a 37-year-old limousine business owner, has been training to be the best.

Speaking with the Chicago Tribune, the former Naperville resident talked of his upcoming championship match in Las Vegas. The World’s Armwrestling League Championship, actually, and it will be aired on ESPN.

This is his second year competing in the competition, as many years as it’s been around.

Prozivalskis will have to overcome some past injuries, according to the article. He may find a decrease in strength due to competing as a lightweight and having to lose 10 pounds.

He’ll find out Sunday if he’s got the strength to win.
