Aurora Boy Talks 'Finding Dory' Role

AURORA, IL — Now that “Finding Dory” has been released in theaters, and hit DVD and blu-ray this week, Aurora native Hayden Rolence can finally open up about the experience.

Speaking to ABC 7, when he told his friends about landing the role, they didn’t believe him.

"First my friends didn't believe me, which made me sad, they didn't believe what I was saying, but eventually they believed me and congratulated me and they were really happy for me," Rolence said in the article.

Since “Finding Dory’s” release this past summer, the film has garnered rave reviews and will most likely be a front runner for best animated film at next year’s Academy Awards.

"I can't even comprehend what would happen if this was nominated for an Oscar, I would be super excited if that happened," Rolence told ABC 7.

In the meantime, Rolence is keeping busy with his other passion: music.

"I really love playing the piano, I love the work that I put into it, I love the satisfaction of finally being able to play a song," Rolence said in the article.
