Aurora Businesses To Highlight Local Poets With Storefront Poems

A dozen poems will be showcased in the storefronts of downtown Aurora businesses in April as a way to celebrate National Poetry Month.

AURORA, IL — April is National Poetry Month, and local poets will have their work showcased throughout the month at several businsses in downtown Aurora.

Aurora Downtown organized the event that will highlight 12 poets by featuring their work in storefront windows. Residents and visitors will be able to go on self-guided walking tours to witness the work.

Poet Laureate and Aurora Downtown board member Karen Christensen selected the works after putting out a call to local poets for poetry under the theme "rebirth."
