Aurora Extends Curfew Into Third Night After Weekend Protests
The city of Aurora will remain under a curfew for a third night, from 8:30 p.m. Tuesday through 6 a.m. Wednesday.

AURORA, IL — Aurora will remain under curfew for a third night, Mayor Richard Irvin announced Tuesday. The curfew will run from 8:30 p.m. Tuesday until 6 a.m. Wednesday.
Irvin and Kane County officials enacted the curfew Sunday night after peaceful protests turned into looting and clashes with police. A news release from the mayor's office said Interstate 88 exit ramps would be closed during the curfew, but the Aurora Police Department said it had not closed down the ramps, as of 6 p.m.
People without identification showing they live or work in downtown Aurora will not be allowed in the area, according to the release. Strict travel restrictions are also being enforced in the area of Fox Valley Mall, the release states. Fox Valley Mall and the Chicago Premium Outlets were both closed Tuesday, according to police.
