Aurora Festival of Lights Returns For 16th Year After Thanksgiving
During the holiday season, visitors will have the chance to experience one mile of light displays from the comfort of their cars.

AURORA, IL — The Aurora Festival of Lights is returning for the 16th year the day after Thanksgiving.
Opening Nov. 25 and running through Dec. 25, the dazzling display of lights and merry music will stretch for a mile at Phillips Park, 1000 Ray Moses Drive. The Festival of Lights will run nightly from 5-9 p.m.
Popular during the COVID-19 pandemic, when many in-person gatherings were shuttered, the Festival of Lights allows guests to remain in their cars while tuning into a closed-circuit radio station to hear holiday tunes. Marketed as the "largest free outdoor drive-thru holiday light display in the region," more than 50,000 vehicles visited the festival in 2021, organizers said.

The event is free, but spectators must register online for an entry ticket before visiting. Free-will donations are welcome as well.
