Aurora Fire Department Gets Life-Saving CPR Device
The life-saving device will help stimulate circulation in victims who suffer cardiac arrest.

AURORA, IL — The Aurora Fire Department just added another item to its life-saving arsenal. Fire crews and paramedics were recently trained to use an Auto Pulse Machine, a mechanical CPR device that will help assist people who are unable to breathe as a result of accident, injury, smoke inhalation, or emergency.
In a Facebook post, fire officials said that the device will perform chest compressions "to help circulate blood and medication." The CPR device can help restart the heart and stimulate blood flow to the brain and other vital organs. As a result, firefighters and paramedics will be able to use their hands to perform other crucial tasks as they work to save a victim's life.
