Aurora Firefighter Heads To Stage 2 Of 'Ninja Warriors' Finals

AURORA, IL — A long-time Aurora firefighter is heading to the next level of the finals on"American Ninja Warrior." Dan Polizzi, an Oswego native, successfully conquered Sunday's course in the first level of finals, according to an update from American Ninja Warrior.

Polizzi had to get through Sunday's obstacle course in under 2 minutes and 30 seconds to advance in the finals. The course included Archer Alley, Spin Your Wheels, Double Dipper, Jumping Spider, Tire Run, Warped Wall, Diving Boards, and Twist and Fly.

Polizzi clocked in at just over 2 minutes and 22 seconds.

Polizzi's teammate and best friend Brandon Mears, of Streamwood, was eliminated from the show during the Diving Boards part of the course.

This season marks the seventh time Polizzi, who has worked for the Aurora Fire Department for more than a decade, has competed on the show.
