Aurora First Fridays Brings Easter Bunny, Live Poetry, Comedy
The April art event will feature cookie decorating, a small egg hunt, and visits with Peter Cottontail himself.

AURORA, IL -- Now that spring has sprung and the weather in Aurora has gotten more pleasant, residents are eagerly anticipating the city's First Fridays art event in April. The event, slated for April 5 features dozens of artists, poets, and comedians, along with an extra-special visit from the Easter Bunny before he makes his way on his annual basket delivery route.
Here's a quick glance at some of the festivities you can expect at Aurora First Fridays in April.
Easter Bunny, Egg Hunt, More

The Easter Bunny will appear at Tredwell Coffee, 14 W. Downer Pl., from 5 p.m. 9 p.m. to pose for pics with kids and lead fun activities. Kids can decorate cookies, take part in an Easter egg hunt, and win fun prizes.
Spoken Word Poetry Readings

Arcana Studios is hosting its first spoken word poetry reading event during First Fridays in April. From 8 p.m. to 11 p.m., local poets will share their works in the intimate and laidback setting located at 5 1/2 W. Downer Pl.
On The Fox Comedy Festival
As part of the ongoing On the Fox Comedy Festival, comedians will perform in a standup showcase at David L. Pierce Art and History Center, 20 E. Downer Pl., from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The Aurora First Fridays April 5 event also features live music, body painting at Balderas Beauty Salon from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and much more. Visitors can take advantage of free trolley rides to navigate the festivities.
