Aurora Man Charged With Child Abduction After Custody Battle
Police say Ramon Loza, 48, left the courthouse with the child after being ordered to turn over custody of a child.

AURORA, IL — An Aurora man has been charged with child abduction after police say he left the Kendall County courthouse with a child he no longer had custody over. Police say the incident took place Dec. 11 at the Kendall County Courthouse, located at 807 John St., Yorkville.
According to police, a judge told Ramon Loza, 48,of the 300 block of Evans Avenue, Aurora, to turn over custody of the child. Loza then left the courthouse with the child, the Kendall County Sheriff's Office said in a Facebook post.
Police say the child was eventually found and custody was properly transferred. Loza was charged on Dec. 20 with two counts of child abduction and taken into custody Jan. 2. He is currently being held in the Kendall County Courthouse on $25,000 bond.
