Aurora Man Nabbed After Tip to Police

He was apprehended thanks to a tip received through Kendall County Crime Stoppers.

AURORA, IL — An Aurora man wanted on a failure to appear warrant for a burglary charge has been arrested after police received a tip from the public.

William Wilkinson, 37, was recently featured as part of the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Friday. He was apprehended in Aurora by members of the U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force.

He was apprehended thanks to a tip received through Kendall County Crime Stoppers.

“Thank you to citizens of Kendall County for continuing to provide information which allows us to locate wanted subjects,” said Sheriff Dwight A. Baird.

Wilkinson had been a fugitive in Kendall County since July 2016.
