Aurora Police Offer Free ALICE Active Shooter Training
ALICE training will be offered to help residents learn how to handle active shooter situations.

AURORA, IL — Aurora police are offering ALICE training classes to help residents learn how to react in the event of an active shooter. The class will be offered on Dec. 19 at 6 p.m. at the Prisco Center.
ALICE stands for Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate and is used in schools and organizations throughout the U.S. to prepare for an active shooter event. In a news release, Aurora police said ALICE classes "provide you with a plan to prepare you with how to proactively handle the threat of an aggressive intruder or an active shooter event."
Those who plan to attend the Dec. 19 class should arrive early, as class size is limited to 180 participants.
