Aurora To Talk Recreational Cannabis At Public Hearing
The public hearing is planned for Oct. 2 at 7 p.m.
AURORA, IL — Aurora residents will have a chance to weigh in on recreational cannabis sales before the issue comes up for a vote. The city will hold a public hearing on Oct. 2 to welcome questions, comments, and potential concerns from residents.
Aurora is currently weighing a change to its zoning ordinance that would allow recreational cannabis businesses in the city. The ordinance may include retail establishments, but could also rope in cultivation businesses as well.
After the public hearing, the matter will move to the Building, Zoning, and Economic Development committee on Oct. 9. The final village council vote is tentatively scheduled for Oct. 22.
