Aurora University Decorated To Show Support For Ukraine: Photos

AURORA, IL — Aurora University is standing in solidarity with Ukraine by showing support in small ways throughout campus. Students and staff part of the university's Wackerlin Center for Faith and Action adorned the campus with supporting colors and items.
The campus, located at 347 S. Gladstone Ave., is adorned with blue and yellow ribbons and flags, the colors of the eastern European country's flag. The war between Ukraine and Russia reached its one-month mark Thursday.
A bronze statue of the university's mascot is wrapped in blue and yellow lights. Spartan, who stands outside Alumni Hall, is wearing a mask showing Ukraine's flag, and a yellow sign tacked to the statue reads "We stand with Ukraine."

Trees throughout campus are wrapped with blue and yellow ribbons, and mini flags are planted in tree beds lining a sidewalk outside Alumni Hall.
