Aurora's 17th Downtown Taste Set For July 30
Close to a dozen local restaurants will share their eats to raise funds for the Exchange Club.

AURORA, IL — The Exchange Club of Aurora wants you to bring your appetite downtown on Tuesday, July 30, for the Taste of Aurora to sample fare from some of the city's most beloved restaurants. Close to a dozen restaurants will offer discounts and special menu items from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Here's a peek at what some of the participating restaurants are offering for the Taste of Aurora:
- La Quinta de los Reyes: Mini fajita combo
- Ballydoyle Irish Pub: Corned beef slider with chips
- Gillerson's Grubbery: Hodgepodge: Hand-cut fries, locally made chorizo, melted cheese curds, spicy tomato aioli, green onion.
- Tredwell Coffee : Argon Affogato, an argonated cold brew drenched over a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream
Tickets to the Taste of Aurora are $30 and get you five tickets to restaurants that are taking part in the taste. A free trolley will be available to ferry guests to and from the eateries, many of which will feature live music to set the mood for the event.

If you don't buy your tickets online, you can pick them up at Ballydoyle Irish Pub during the fest. The Santori Public Library will also have a welcome table set up to sell tickets for cash only from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Proceeds from the Taste will help the Exchange Club of Aurora provide scholarships to local high school students. The Exchange Club has awarded over $100,000 in scholarships to students in and around the Aurora area.
