Aurora's El Dia de los Ninos Celebration May 7

The event is free and open to the public.

AURORA - Postponed a week due to weather, the Aurora Hispanic Heritage Board's annual "El Día de los Niños" Celebration will take place tomorrow Saturday, May 7 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Aurora Transportation Center Lot (at the corner of Spring Street and Lincoln Avenue) in downtown Aurora.

While there is a chance for rain in the earlier part of the day, the weather forecast calls for a rainless afternoon with a cool breeze. The festival will keep right on going in honor of the children of Aurora.
This traditional Latin American event recognizes children, pays homage to their importance in society and endorses their well-being. The free celebration is being held in partnership with the Aurora Public Library, West Aurora School District 129, East Aurora School District 131, Oswego School District 308 and Indian Prairie School District 204.
