Back To School: Aurora 2023-24 School Calendar

AURORA, IL — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Aurora, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in West Aurora School District 129 and East Aurora School District 131.

The first day of school for most students in Aurora is Aug. 16 or Aug. 23.

Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change. Here is the list of dates to know for this school year:

West Aurora School District 129

First Day: Aug. 16

Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 22-24

Winter Break: Dec. 25 to Jan. 5

Spring Break: March 25-29

Last Day: May 23

East Aurora School District 131

First Day: Aug. 23

Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 22-24

Winter Break: Dec. 22 to Jan. 5

Spring Break: March 25-29, with the district closed April 1

Last Day: June 3
